    The Luftwaffe Typohoons gave them more than just a run for their money I think but in fairness it also depends a lot on the ROE for the given exercise, e.g. no BVR, WVR only etc. The F-22 has had a troubled development and it's a hugely expensive platform to maintain and relies heavily on its stealth and BVR sensors / weapons (which are good).

    That said the F-22 can apparently be detected at 50km by Typhoon IR if hot... whether that's from behind only or if it picks up other heat areas like wing surfaces, I don't know.

    Personally I really rate the Typhoon - it is a very capable aircraft

    Those were the days, such a shame we're never likely to have anything like the Squawks ever again... I'm pretty sure we were the only country to incorporate the buddy refuelling in live aerial displays. Great machines.
    10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.
