Yes very sobering for a pissed Kiwi.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Did that once in a Herc. North of Whenuapai all we could see out the windows was trees and hills. Those in the back who weren't fans of flying HATED it. Bussing back to Waiouru sucked.

Weather didn't cooperate with the organizers of Wings Over Wairarapa.
3 days of steady heavy rain buggered up the whole air show and no flying for the paying customers.
Great communications by the organisers, who cancelled on Saturday night, big 'ups' on being so upfront.
F##cking weather improved this morning, but too bloody late.
Will help out with the next one - in two years time.

Seeing them turn up would be like a bomb stirike when you're surrounded.
I was listening on the radio during the fires, and the lady said the house has no chance, it's gone! Then they started coming over the hill and dumping water. She said they just keep coming and managed to beat it back

Bit of a blast from the past - this video was produced prior to 1997 when 1 SQN and the Mirage F1CZ was disbanded.
