    Faulty Forbes TM listing.

Good bit of humour I thought.

The Q and A's on the auction are great. Especially the A's.

Or, if you're onto it, buy it, get it working as it should, and have a cheap lightweight rifle. Anything is fixable I guess, and this is just a bolt action rifle at the end of the day.

Very clever option by the seller.

You would have thunk the distributor would have just taken it back quietly and buried it even f it was not "their" fault.....................but thats not apparently the way things roll here in NZ. This is something I cannot understand, when I worked for a distributor the salesmen etc would find every way possible not to keep the customer happy until it was too late BUT our Agents were also masters of shooting themelves in the foot and then laying the blame at the "distributors"

Its not really up to the distributors to sort this (even though they should) its up to the retailer (consumer guarantees act is quite specific in this). Maybe the owner is unaware of this

NZ Retailers / Staff do not seem to be able to grasp this wee fact
The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation................................but I'm not one of them

Seems to be plenty of pics of the long action 24b with non fluted bolts.

Poor bugger. Don't know about a Tikka, but I've read too many bad things about Forbes to think of them as a possible "investment." More likely an invitation to depression. I'm very surprised at NZ Ammo's lack of responsibilty. Obviously they don't care if they lose the distributorship or customers. This story tells me that I'd be an idiot to have anything to do with them; So I won't.

An you would think making a bolt action that works wouldn't be that hard.
