Tried it tonight, rattled of a box of ammo no mis firing problem. I just taped up the mag spring for now as I don't have a spare or a Remington on hand to try. Feeding wasn't perfect as to be expected.

Will try take the bolt apart and see what the firing pin looks like as the primer strikes did seem a little light

It may be the photo but that bottom case looks like the primer is a lot flatter than the others?

Check firing pin protrusion on a decocked bolt vs your other one, possibly could be a travel issue rather than a spring issue.

Na must be the photo they aren't flattened at all.

Will try compare firing pins tomorrow if I get time. Will slap a scope on it as well for the next range session

I have seen worse pin-strikes from rifles that still fired ok. Worth taking apart though.

Could you tig the mag spring together? Is it a clean break?

So taken it apart, photo in comparison to my m20b

The firing pin on the 270 appears to be slightly squared off in comparison to the other one, not sure how this happens. It's probably not protruding slightly as far. Not sure how to fix that that considering I didn't get any misfires on the 20 rounds I have put through it I'm not overly concerned.

As for the spring, contacted the supplier, they don't have any spare parts apparently.

The spring is stainless, probably not ideal for a spring and may just have broken from stress??

Will try track down a Remington one, if anyone has one let me know

    Cheers

Ah... the joys of owning, selling and buying a 'lightweight' rifle.

Imagine how that guy felt, regardless of the history, a $3,500 rifle should be faultless. My $1,000 ones are!

    $3500? Nah mate. $2500 + or -$100.

You could try that spring from the states? At the end of the day it's just a remmy action
