HBO 24/7 Leafs, Wings for anyone that might be interested.

I grew up in the 70's, not that far south of Toronto. I lived and breathed Hockey like every other kid there. I have been a Leaf fan since I could skate and seen my first live game.

For anyone interested, this is part 3 of an HBO series that follows and looks inside a couple NHL hockey teams prior to the winter Classic played on New Years day in Detroit.

A few years ago the Penguins Capitals had a 24/7 done on them and Sky tv NZ screened it. Not sure if this one is being screened in NZ. Its an hour long, uncut and entertaining.
Something a bit different to Rugby and Cricket anyway.

I guess you have to grow up in that part of the world to understand and appreciate the game (much the same for gridiron). I am not a fan and have seen very little of the game but what I have seen is mind bogglingly fast and hard. Unfortunately i don't understand the rules and I really struggle to keep up with where the puck is at but I really admire the skill on the skates that the players have.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

I would say there would be bugger all NZ fans of the game unless they are some of the very few that play or expats like me. It does not take long to grasp when watching it. Winter Olympics coming up in a month. I revert back to being a Canuck for 2 weeks.

24/7 is actually a good series and something I would like to see done with a super rugby team (Crusaders of course) or the AB's

Amen to that. Been wanting to see such a thing for a while now.

Catch the Winter Classic? I'm not big into hockey as it's all about hunting for me but the Winter Classic is always something that the guys get together for, even if it's mostly for the brews. Good stuff this year!

I caught the last period and shoot out Jay.
Was an amazing goaltending display by both Howard and Bernier.
Good win for the Leafs. I'm stoked.
