Cant speak for Marlborough, but it has been blowing a gale here in North Nelson since late last night, and shows no sign of dropping any time soon

Wellington REMO office puts out weather watch/warnings on FB.
Usually pretty accurate based on Metservice forecasts.
Both have websites you can access - be worth a look.

Funny @Pengy. Not a breath of wind here.
You must cop it a bit up on that hill.

yep sometimes the sea is flat as when he is getting a hiding.

Strong easterly's here....Im sheltered from them at home but get occasional very strong gusts/Back eddy's.

Itl be shit till at least Friday morning would be my guess.

Blenheim only has two types of weather, hot and windy or cold and windy.

    Still got a roof?
I like extreme weather especially when I am safe and warm.....If my roof was coming off then probably not so much.

Where in Marlborough? It's a reasonable sized area Pissing down all day n kaikoura and heavy rain warning in force. 65mm at our place. Gap in weather just now. Check metservice forecast it's pretty decent. Look at weather cams in kk or Blenheim.metservice 3 day map not perfect but good approximation of what's coming

Edit :for coastal Marlborough I wouldn't bank on flying in before Friday late Thursday if u lucky. Inland might clear sooner.

Flying into upper waihopai valley from nelson. Weather up here was torrential rain and wind last night in the king country but is fine today (odd light shower with sun breaking through). Hopefully does the same down those ways today, any update on today would be handy thanks

Well yes, the roof seems to be still attached to the house (for now).
I made the decision to sleep downstairs, away from the big spans of glass that were pulsing in the wind
