Who want to muck about taking photos when you have a delicious pie in your hand?

Dairy Flat Bakery knocks out a good maggot pack (old name for Big Ben)

A good sausage roll is hard to find. A lot of them have a garlic after taste that keeps repeating

For a commercial pie the No8 steak and cheese are good.

Best pies I reckon and I dont know if you can still get them are from Freckles in Westport this is 20 years ago though.

My current favourite would be jimmys mutton pies.

Peas in it? Bloody hell, was sounding dam near perfect until then.......

Slight tangent, but with mushrooms and NZ, is there more available than the white & brown buttons, flats and enouchi ? When we lived in Europe at the Saturday markets depending on the time of year, there would be 8 to 20 types of mushrooms available. Some were bloody yummy and I've never seen them here. Can't remember the name but these yellow ones were like eating steak, both in texture and taste. Awesome things in a stir-fry. Also didn't need the mortgage for the meat..... (yes a vego meal, and was good....)

Also the Swiss have no concept of a good Pie. Or infact a pie......
