Might be same problem as Sean is having - seems like a chook house is like a magnet to rats
Have you got a trail camera Sako - see what is going on at night
Hope you are making progress on your rat Sean - payback time

Here's one of mine, a green legged hatch stag.

Did you know that's where we get the term 'hens party' and 'stag party' from? A stag being a young gamefowl cock. They are kept penned together sorted by their respective sexes until the young cocks reach maturity and have to be separated otherwise they kill each other. Naturally he is married off with a hen.

A stag party is a bunch of non-mature, non-married fighting cockerels, kept separate from the hens

best way to catch a cat, wild or domestic, is a cage trap with fish as bait. I use a piece of stocking and put a herring in it and tie it to the trip. Had to put small chicken wire around the end of the cage or a cat will try to pull the fish out from outside. I have caught 5 cats here this way

I will have to try that, sounds good as I've seen a few feral cats down at the neighbours, but can't really shoot them because the have mad horses
