    DNA comparison. The question is, what are the legal ramifications if you offer this evidence of your innocence (essentially an alibi?) during questioning, and they choose not to verify it, pigs come along and eat the leftovers, then they charge you anyway?

    You could take a picture with your phone.
    as long GPS is running it will encode the latitude longitude with the image.

    It's more them taking the option to go and see. Chances are the couldn't be bothered.

    A georeferenced photo of the guts etc would be a good start, but that's evidence of AN animal, not THE animal. Only DNA would prove a match, and I doubt they'd go to that length to check.

    Ok, I am talking getting stopped on the way home with the deer. Otherwise they could charge anybody with venison in their freezer!
