    Wairarapa Gun Club bans police

Just read this article this morning, I can see why but I am not too sure if this is the best approach. Maybe more to it... Police banned from shooting range over restrictive gun laws | Stuff.co.nz

It's almost as if having the firearms community on their side might be beneficial? Gee imagine that

Hmmm I can see their point of view and good on them for trying to do something but not sure this will change much. Then again maybe it will be he first move to start the ball rolling g

I guess it is just a reflection of the frustration the police and police association are causing.

    Lets hope so
If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur.

Yep good on them I recon until the statusqo ends then all gun clubs should do the same!
If you are police then you need to start banging on your commanders door, our MP enough already!
As law abiding citizens we want to see you working for us and with us!

I am not sure on this. We have the police use our range regularly. We make a bit of extra coin for the club that you wouldnt get running a couple big shoots because of this.
I have out of interest emailed the link to all our members and am interested to see if anything happens with it.

I am not sure how or if it will change anything. It's not the guy on the ground making decisions.

If PNZ endorses it, then every club the police utilize, should do it.
In the end I can just see them spending more tax payer money to travel to a club that is not on board with the idea.

If it shakes things up good on them and I would like our club to follow suit if it will get the police to use some common sense.

I have heard a lot of import permits for numerous firearms and parts are not being issued by police even tho the permits are legal and have no basis for refusal.

@R93 has the point, it's not the guys on the ground making use stupid policies but that's who will be affected by this move

That man Cahill has missed the point, it seems its about the AOs changing the rules to suit themselves and ignoring the law or purposely manipulating it to suit the way they believe it should be, he needs to wake up a bit!! Or maybe hes happy with the confusion?
