Full of mash
Bumping this thing back into life.
It's friday so whats everyone drinking tonight? I have half a bottle of Highland Queen 12 left and am thinking of picking up a Glenfarclas 12 because it's not a whisky tasting if you only have one...
Laphroaig 10yr is on the go at the moment
Step on my toes I'll jump on your head
Tin cup.....a Colorado whisky, not a bad drop.
Did you folks buy the $65 Laphroig 10 that was on sale at W&M a week ago? I did and I just finished a dram of it. It's certainly a sweet spot of delicious.
Guy that works out my office got a nice bottle of an NZ peat whiskey delivery the other afternoon. I suggested we better taste it, well he disappeared and came back with a couple of glasses, don't do it often but my foreman was impressed with the smell in my office, it wasn't half bad either!
interested if anyone also goes for American - Rye, barley or malt whiskey? So many great small batch rye whiskey makers in the USA now...
As for Scotch it has to be a favourite Compass Box. Flaming heart.
For those who enjoy peaty Whisky like Laphroaig ,but without the Caramel.
Caramel is added for the colour and its association with heavier taste.

The Monday special from w&m is worth buying. 1l of glenfarkarse 105 cask strength for $80.
I've got some good help and info from this forum, but so far the discovery of https://www.whiskyandmore.co.nz/ is the best.
If your dad doesn't have a beard, you've got two mums
@Tombi - good to see we have enhanced your life.
The monday W&M special is good buying. 700ml bottle of Dalwhinnie 15 for $67. Thats cheaper than Dalwhinnie is at duty free. Dalwhinnie 15 gets 96 out of 100 in the whisky bible which puts it into the above 95 category which is defined as whisky's that make life worth living. It's a lightly peated highland so easy to like. Get into it.
