178 - ELDX in flight and Terminal performance ...

Hey dudes this was captured last night before dark with the sun at a low angle - you can actually see the ELDX all the way to the kill.

    Enjoy!!

Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts

You going to produce the new Terminator movie for Arnold? Great to see the recovery of the projectile. Informative. Cheers.

Knocked over a young Sambar yesterday with a 178 gr ELD X out of my 300 Win, only 50 yds away but he spun round and fell over dead. No exit hole but it worked. Went 100 kg so he wasn't that small .
Looking forward to getting more animals with the ELD X bullets they certainly look the part.

Yeah I'd say it would expand pretty rapid at that type of range.

Lot of chaps tell you that a good bullet should exit ... I'm more of the opinion that they should kill fast- doesn't much matter the size of the hole it leaves in the ground behind.

Yes I think that either way works but the only good thing about an exiting bullet is there will be a good blood trail should it move far from the spot. Those Sambar are a very solid animal and a bullet like the ELD-X up close is not likely to exit, still dead is dead and he didn't go anywhere.
