    Or Fax them .
And unless Grant is sitting upstairs in the office you still may not get an answer. If they are down on the shop floor I wouldn't be happy if they were for ever answering phones in the middle of doing something for me. Best time to ring is first thing in the morning.

thanks guys, had an email from grant and he can screw one barrel in a cz.
my goal is one hole group, with a heavy barrel. a good looking rifle as well.
the 2500x run for $3000 delivered to your door. crazy expensive! no one in the usa
seems to export just the action. i tried all action makers and they only send one thru
an exporter, who charges you $1100 the cheapest. stiller ships in 10 minimum.
i am really thinking about making some rimfire actions here in nz, similiar to the 40x, what do
you guys think? i live off 3d and would not live off making actions.
hope to hear from you about it.
    cheers

One hole group at what range?

A CZ 452/455 will get you that at 25m and most likely at 50m too with a little work.
I shot a 8mm 4 shot group at 40m with my 452 American tonight, which isn't uncommon from that rifle.

How does your CZ scout shoot?

    beetroot,
i mean, i want the rifle to be as accurate as possible not considering me behind it.
i dont have the scout yet and the plan is to buy one for 600 bucks and just use the action.
or, like i said, make your own action.
great shot 8mm at 40. what ammo are you using?
    cheers

Using CCI target ammo, shoots well with Lapua target too.
What 22lr are you shooting at the moment?

I'd recommend getting a CZ either American or Varmint and see how it shoots, you can free float the barrel and put a Yo dave trigger kit in it for about $50.
You might find you can get the accuracy you wanted from that, if not you've at least had some good practice and got to the stage where you can out shoot your rifle, then start looking at re-barreling it, or have saved enough to buy an off the shelf more accurate rifle.

Check out Rimfirecentral.com for thoughts super accurate 22lrs.

thanks mate. i had all sorts of rimfire rifles possible. i shot it since the age of 5 and i am 38 now and got some experience with that.
i had a 455 that i sold a year ago that i regret every day that. i want a proper benchrest 22LR rifle to be frank. there are some coopers on
an oz web site and they export to NZ for a little more than these 3000. anyway. i am not in a hurry and will do my research.
    thanks for your help.
    cheers

Again, read the art of rimfire accuracy.
Take a look at Kepler rifles from Switzerland .
There is one or two custom action actions maker around Finland I think.
And there is one in France : Christian Salva
    index
You can buy just the action from him. But you are looking at around €1500
That is if you want a pure benchrest gun.
Otherwise a good anschutz could do the job.

    the more difficult, the better...
thanks friwi. i downloaded the pdf from amazon. will give it a read. in my opinion,
salva's actions must be first class, but lacks in appearance. horrible design.
    cheers

Take a look at the silhouette rifle, that one has a magazine if that is what you are looking for.

If you're looking at buying a second-hand rimfire, look down the outside of the barrel with your eye close and with some frontal light. This makes any possible bulges stand out.
I'd guess it would be owners using cleaning rods. I treat mine like an airgun barrel, never use a rod. Just a bit of mono fishing line pulling a wet patch through it occasionally. No brass coated ammo either
