    Hello everybody!

    Hi, I'm Tim.
    I got myself interested in hunting and shooting a couple of years ago, then finally got my FAL beginning of last year.

    Haven't done much shooting/hunting in the last couple of months though so I'm trying to get back into it.
    Hopefully I'll learn a couple of tricks here as I'm a fairly inexperienced hunter (my current Kill count is 2 deer and 3 possums).

    Anyone know any good places to hone my hunting skills, preferably in the upper half of the North Island.

    Welcome Tim. There are countless places for you to hunt in the upper half of the North Island. My suggestion would be for you to visit the DoC website, purchase the Spot X hunting book and trawl through this forum for information.

    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
