    New here.

Hi everyone, time to introduce myself.

I've been reading the forums for a while, but it's time to stop being a spectator. I've got a couple of hand-me-down rifles - a 1942 Lee Enfield No. 4 Mk I*, and an SKS (Russian, 1956). They are yet to draw blood by my hands, but I'm keen to fix that. Limiting factors are my odd work hours (rotating 6 day shift pattern, including overnights), and a young family (3 under 5, including twins), and, in all honesty, a lack of knowledge on most things hunting.

Living in Franklin, South (of) Auckland.

Welcome to the forum Stretch. Can you still get scallops in knee deep water at Clarks Beach?

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

No firsthand experience of the scallops at Clarks Beach, but rumour is they're over the other side of the channel, near Matakawau.

You really need to use emoticons now and then Rushy. Anyone not knowing, would think you are serious about Scallops

I'll do that when I next have it out. It's not in its original condition, but basically like http://picturearchive.gunauction.com...thumbnail0.jpg. A previous owner shortened the barrel and gave it a spray-paint camo job.
