The vertical in your group at 1585 yards is very pleasing bet that put a smile on your face, the side to side is only the wind, would be very interesting how she goes in good weather conditions.
1000yds is fun, 1500yds is getting interesting, 2000yds is exciting, 2500yds will blow your mind

Had a play up the range again this arvo, trying some different loads.

    .295 moa

I had the Bolt & barrel fluted last week, I'm very happy with the bolt & will get my others done as well

Even though the weather was "average" at best I decided to take the 375 DCM & a couple of baby 338s out for a run, so I picked up Spanners at 0530 & we were off.

I really need to invest in a decent video camera so I can keep a record of these things

I really wanted to shoot measurable targets but the conditions wouldn't allow it

So after a pie at the local servo we went to another spot that had rascally rocks that needed sorting

    I shot at 955, 1615 & 2050 yards at 2, 11 & 16 degrees with about 6 mph winds.

All groups were under 1.25 moa

I was very happy with the performance of the 375 DCM & the group I shot with the 338 Imp at 2050.

I let Spanners have a shot with the 375 DCM @ 2050 after I'd had 3 shots with 338 Imp, he hit the 10 x 6" rock on his first & only shot....Tin arse

We shot the 350s & 425s at 2050, I had only "chucked" together a load yesterday that shot at the same POI at 100, but was an ordinary group, so I was very pleased to see sub moa groups at 2050

I'm really looking forward to stretching it out at a decent distance in good conditions onto measurable targets

I went to a mate’s brothers new place this morning to shoot some of the Goats that he wants gone.
I shot some out to about 700 with the 338 Norma & some a lot closer with the 308.
Then we went for a drive up, up, up, up & up some more into the forestry that looks over the valley so I could shoot back onto his place at some scree slips.
We found a suitable position & a likely looking rock to shoot at.

The rock is in the triangular slip in the middleish of the picture.

It is 2500 yards away, initial shots with both the 350 & 425 CE bullets showed they were both 6moa low with pretty good windage.
So it looks like I will need to step the BC once I start getting a fair way out.
The scree was a little coarse & it was difficult to spot all the shots with some of them disappearing into the rocks

I didn't hit the rock but got well inside 1/2 an moa a few times

Unfortunately I don't have a decent video camera yet, one is on its way, so I should be able to put some vids up of next time I shoot it way out there

    Not from that spot

Did shoot at a couple but not very convincing & I didn't go across the river to them to see what happened.

Nah it was around 1075ish, shot some 2-450 with the 308

Had issues seeing the strikes, then shot a rock & was 4-5" low & left so they were most likely tearing straight through them....

Made a mess on the rock & the smack was outstanding from the 350

Very hard to distinguish between a high shot & a pass through when shooting up hill unless the target instantly shows obvious signs....

Here is a close up shot of the rock.

It is 2 moa across & 2.75 moa high.

It is a long way away, the flight time of 3.7 to 3.8 seconds is amusing.

One thousand & one....... one thousand & two....... one thousand & 3...... one thousand & 3.75
