I would try raiding a barrel off a target rifle or similar and turning that down to your needs.....

This should be a worthy, historically relevant, beginners' project, a copy of the first hand held gun and predecessor of the matchlock musket.
It should have everyone at the range begging for a shot (pun).

    Handgonnes

If properly made it will be well above 764mm length for A-cat - even if named a "Handgonne".

I suppose one could sell a black powder blank barrel as it is not a gun,, yet. and if some one wants to make a gun out of it that's up to them.

I actually asked about importing a US 80% ar15 lower and was told it was classed as a firearm so I needed a permit, oh well.

Yes the lower has the serial number on it so is technically a firearm & needs an import permit, the upper doesn't..

Few! That's good news I`m legal and Kotuku old thunderguts is having a ball on the range with 3031 and black, the barrel is polishing up nicely . Broke the tip off my firing pin, so rush job in rustling up a new one , no problemo for Margivers brother.

He said 80% lower. Therefore it is only 80% complete and has no serial number, it is a chunk of metal.
