    Fantastic.
The F model was my very first road bike. I owned a number of 2 stroke road bikes (RZ250 and 350, RG500) but I still have fond memories of the RD - fanging it through Goat valley on my way to the Cemetery circuit....aaahhhh.

Its a RD400g .........with Daytona stickers ( that came in a bag with the bike ) . Basically its stock apart from carbon fibre reeds and a halogen headlight . I almost got the right graphics for it but I do like the Daytona look so I figured what the hell. I have replaced all the worn parts ( swing arm and head stock bearings , lots of rubber bits , cables and the brakes ( which are real bad ). I rebuilt the motor and gave the whole thing a good spruce up ... the idea being not to go for the concourse bike but just a well tidy used bike. Some parts , mostly the mufflers are not to bad but to do anything would involve a re-chrome , I did manage to get most of the dents out .
    I also have a 1974 Moto Guzzi 850T , a 1990 Ducati Paso and a 1997 900SS Ducati

Wow - some nice gear there.
Makes the R1200RT look positively 'pedestrian'.
I promise not to tell the landlord - that 906 needs the best of resting places.

Aaah a Guzzi That brings back memories of my MkII Lemon, a great piece of machinery. Should have put that one in the back of the shed.

    Nice bikes those 850T's

Seems to be a weakness in some models of Beemers.
Mine broke the adjuster shaft on the preload - hadn't been shifted since the first owner cranked it tight.
Of course the real problem was the rebound setting - wide open.
When I got that fixed, under warranty, adjusted the rebound.
That's good now, whatever the load.
Just adjust preload according to how much extra kg's I'm carrying at the time.
Lovely long distance tourer - but my ex-sportsbike/sports tourer 'boy racer can' needs a 'top up' now and again.
This one is good for a bit of a fang - just not quite as thrilling as my CBR1000RR used to be, but more suitable for slower reactions and increased weight (me and the bike ).
Just love the RD out of all your collection.

I have never ridden a bike since an RD 250 chucked me off into a flint wall. The fact that I was 16 and very pissed had nothing to do with it at all

Nice little stable you have there. That 906 is a sexy piece of ass!
