    wanted, 30-06 brass

    Preferably free, I'll be happy to pay postage. Not too phased on brand as I am planning to turn it into 8x57 brass that I can happily loose when hunting

    Thanks

    @Toby

    I'll swap you some for a taste of some Wairoa whitebait.

    How does pound for pound sound as a fair swap?

    And as a deal sealing sweetener I'll pay the postage both ways.

    Cheers
    Pete

    I've got a heap of it, but I couldn't tell you how many times it has been reloaded. Mostly neck sized. Different brands. You can ahve it if you can't find any more. Will be a lot of work to turn it to 8x57. Gunworks have Norma brass for about $80 for 50.
    What projectile and powder are you going to use in your 8x57? I'm running 50gr H335 and 150gr Sierra soft point in mine, getting approx 2600fps from an 18" barrel.

    My dad goes to Naiper a bit when he takes up scrap metal so I could probably get my dad to bring the whitebait up

    Now to catch some whitebait. They stopped running the bloody huas

    On the video he annealed it then put through the F/L sizer trimmed with a lee trimmer in the drill and done. Not too much work as I enjoy that type of stuff. Rather get cheap/free brass do that and lose it over buying new brass and losing it.

    Not sure on a load yet but got some 2208 so will probably go with 150 sierra gamekings or something.

    These a few old fogies on here could probably spare you a bit of 8x57 brass

    The reason I want brass is my rifle came with 103 rounds of ammo but half of that is old army ammo. I'm planning on shooting rabbits and what not with it but I can't reload it as it has a crimped in primer and I read you need some tool to remove that. Also not sure if its boxer or bredan hole thing. So if I manage to save any of that brass when I get around to using it anyone want it?
