Sending a gun by courier to gun shop - quick advice!

Chaps. Need a bit of quick advice. Think I know the answer already, but thought I'd check. I want to send a firearm via courier to a bonafide gun shop, does the gun shop owner/recipient need to complete the "Mail Order Sales of Standard Sporting Firearm(s)..." form and take to the police station before I send the gun off.

    Cheers.

Are you selling it? Pretty sure no forms required to 'send' a firearm.

Yes. Even if you send to a dealer, the paperwork is the same as anyone else.

To put it another way, if I was selling a gun to a private individual, that individual would have to complete the form, go through the checks and then the police would notify me to say it was OK to send it. Does the fact that it's a bonafide gunshop owner buying the gun make a difference? Common sense would suggest that there is a difference, but the law often lacks common sense.

Its is up to you as the seller to ensure the purchaser has the appropriate licence, otherwise......

All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.
