    missed the boat?

    hi all,

    just after some thoughts, if i start to train my 10mth old lab now for duck retrevial, is it too late? or just gonna take a big longer ?

    Not at all, most people start to early, your timing is probably close to ideal!

    I do use those plastic dummies which last forever, but find the canvas ones, less durable, are more accepted by most dogs.

    i'm in the same boat, collie pup is coming on a year old. had great intentions to use him for deer indicating and it hasnt happened yet. the couple of trips he has been on recently went really well, even if he was only indicating on goats!
