Have just had to take the tack off my xBolt stock, just used straight acetone and 0000 steel wool, was a ten minute job at best and has come up a treat. Hasnt effected anything colour wise etc...

That should work. I’d use a scotchbrite synthetic ahead of steel wool. Should be able to get it in the paint section of a Bunnings/M10 Just test on a small part of your stock first.

It will come off with time and use. Most of us are interesting in getting it recoated back on, which one of the guys has gotten done on the forum. Mine is slick now after a few years use.
