I even go for a more open choke if spring shooting a small creek where the ducks can get up very close.Cylinder or even a skeet choke ,the combination of 1/4 & 1/2 would be for over decoys etc.

you should always have chokes in the gun or your gonna bugger the threads .For steel on a u/o no more than 1/2 choke & 1/4 choke bottom barrel.Still gives a tight enough pattern with the higher...
EeeBees ,I been using Eley steel 3" 1 1/4 oz #4 for 3 seasons & its absolutely brilliant. Half the leed you use with lead & sorts everything mallards, parries,hares .Some may tell you #4 steel too...
