Not a fan of soft plastic's ,old school bait on a hook & get that out as far as possible with a 16' rod.
Always fish with a very light drag & let the fish run if it want to.

Nice fish in good condition ,don't get many like this.

Sea had flattened off so headed up the coast to Whiritoa for a fish.Got there & set up just on dusk tonight,by time had #2 rod rigged the 1st was getting a nibble....
