Sub moa. Minimal velocity spread with the Hornady Precision Hunter 212gr -the drop is very consistent right out to 1150m which is as far as I've gone with it. If only I could judge the wind as well...

Moved down south and have decided to do a bit more long range/prs type shooting for fun.
Got this setup after a bit of shopping around. Custom Guns in Invercargill had this scope & rifle for a...
Your spot on. The bolt shroud was tagging the nubs on the safety everytime the bolt was worked. A quick bend solved the issue.
Picked this up at the gun auction in Wgtn on the weekend. Single square bridge original Mauser from the 30's. Its had a hard life -Swiss cheesed action from old scope mounts, modified bolt handle,...

Couldn’t wait for a Tikka 6.5PRC so I bought this Sako 85 in 270wsm and will probably rebarrel one day if I need to. Just finished making this new stock for her. Weighs 3.5kg as pictured, minus...
New to me 2nd hand Sako in 270WSM. Bit of a project, as thinking of re-barreling to 6.5PRC and building another stock.
Looking forward to playing around with a new cartridge in the meantime.

Hard to not like! Looks pretty original and super light too.
I might set up a rival gang called the 6.8 mob :D
$375. He did a bit of polishing on the barrel and action to get rid of some light corrosion as well. His work is always really top notch.

Just got my 1952 M70 Supergrade .270 back from Allen Carr- he re-blued it and polished the feed ramp. Very happy with the result.90158

Was going for an M16A1 style build but until I source the parts, this 70-80's Kiwi chopper rifle will have to do. Arguably more practical and quite retro in its own right!

Nice long barrel too, proper old school. Good classic stuff.
Perfect balance, these early wooden handles rotate too, unlike the later plastic ones. But it has worn the parkerising off the receiver (even has a slight groove) when its folded over to the side.
Had the bayonet for the last 5 years...I find if I buy the bayonet or some ammunition for a rifle then I'm always on the lookout...I've also got an M16 bayonet...hahaha

New to me ('61) SLR. I've had a couple of them before, but both were synthetic stocks. Having the wood is so much nicer! And the early pattern carry handle was also a bonus....
I've got a Mauser in 416 Ruger to play with so I'm sorted on the bigger end of things at the moment...
1951 Mod 70 Winny in 30-06. Barrel is a bit knackered so will be a future project. Maybe change it to a 9.3x62...

Ha! Your most welcome!
After a long time of looking for the right gun- I have finally got a pre64 supergrade Model 70 Winchester in 30-06. A good mate sold me the 4x Leupold and the rifle came with the original supergrade...
The scope was purchased at Ted Rogers annual militaria auction in WGTN earlier this year. They rarely come up, however Leatherwood are making a repro as you can't buy new Unertl's anymore. Buffalo...
Just finished this build, a 1903 Springfield USMC sniper replica.
