Maxtoch M1 Archer are awesome
Another vote for the Soto windmaster. Up graded from my 25 gm Aliexpress cooker that did the job ok just not so good in the wind.
Cant quite get my windmaster in the pot so it sits in the mesh bag...
Take it back, my first Resolution jacket had a bung zip that I needed to actually climb out of the jacket first couple of times I used it, took it back and they replaced it with a new one.
Ive also got the Resolution and like it as well. I think the Copeland is a longer cut and maybe a slightly heavier material but not 100% sure
Have a very similar set up but upgraded to a Soto Windmaster from the the 25gm BRS cooker. Found it better in windy spots.
Plenty of pigs in the silver peaks, a few goats and the odd deer. Its pretty rugged and the bush is thick, watch out for the Urtica ferox in some of the valleys. I have found most animals in the...
Lol yep and if you take out shagging there's not many pros for NZ use and I'm not into shagging my mates when I go away, quite happy to wait until I get home to the misses :D. I didn't need to own...
Looked into them a few years ago and decided nah.
Cons - Once you're set up if you want to drive anywhere you need to pack up
If you are like me and cant go the night with out a piss then it...
Great vid in some nice country. Two thumbs up :)
You sure those straps aren't for carrying a foam matt? I use a sea to summit compression sak but certainly keep it in my pack
Nice video, thanks for sharing. One of my favourite valleys.
Well done Jessica, obviously stoked. Ill have a good read of your write up when I have a bit more time.
Sorry my bad, NZ company, once all NZ made, but now all socks are made in the USA as I understand using NZ merino wool
Icebreaker. NZ made and if you wear them out just take them back and get them replaced
As above, found the Exped ul7 pretty quiet but no experience with Bushbuck
Love the fresh possum teeth marks beside it.
Cheap little rechargeable led lightbulb from Aliexpress. Really lightweight, really cheap, good amount of light and lasts a good few hours. Can recharge them by solar panel or a tiny bit of power...
I'm going to go against what other have said. I have looked into buying a Dymeema tent but got put off by a couple of things but what I did learn is Dyneema is a bloody tough material, a lot...
You can but the elastic bungy cord on Aliexpress cheap as chips. I have replaced a couple now with no problems. Easy to do if you follow a youtube clip
Had the arms officer around yesterday to check my two racks for licence renewal. Just had to grind the heads off the screws (didn't need to first time around) and was all good. Racks are secured to...
Looked into them a few years ago and decided not to get one for the reasons listed below
Once you're set up, if you want to drive anywhere you have to pack up, unlike a tent where you can drive off...
I've got a Hunters Element bino bag as well as the range finder pouch and clipped them together. Other side I have added my plb. Can remove if not needed, works well.
The Salomon gtx 4d are on sale with 20percent off at Torpedo7 at the moment
I'm another fan of the lightweight boots these days. For me its the Salomon Quest 4D 3 GTX and around the same price range as other boots mentioned. These were a game changer for me after years of...
Got a few Maxtoches and like them all. The big 2x seems to win all the pissing wars with your mates. The m1 archer is my go to at the moment, shines a lot further than I can shoot and small and...
