Cheers stug. Yeah pretty happy with it . Finishing took longer than it should have, but learned a bit along the way, should be able to cut time by half next time.

Both Rugers, SAUM and WSM are floated and beaded with pillars. SAUM started life as 270wsm

Grip cap done and first oiling today.

Todays effort. Had a rethink on the cap and decided to go with black to match butpad. Sanded one side with 180 grit.

Have been a bit busy but have managed to get grip cap glued on, fitted pillars bedded action and bottom bits. Started shaping today. Will post pics soon. Cheers all.

Using router bits at the mo ebf. Using reasonably large dia to try and achieve max blade speed but may cut better and cleaner with 4 blade mill bits , never used them before.

Cheers Toby. Would be a lot better with a few more rpms. Will look at upping the pully ratios a bit. Still using router and dremel etc for some bits. Decided to not checker the laminated stock but...

Thanks KJ . Have cut profile and almost finished inletting bottom now, just have to deal with angly ruger lug screw. Next up is pillars and bedding ,then can start on shaping.
