A message for all you light buyers.. :) After designing the kiwi hunter Maxtoch torch range for many years with Brian (gadgetman), I have finally decided to do prime distributorship for these lights...

Marky - I have a little Maxtoch that might suit. New model called the called the M1 Archer. Very small at 135gms but big power - max 575 meters - and just one mode.

Did some hunting light comparisons tonight. Local gunsmith showed me his brand new Olight M3Xs-UT Javelot he'd just bought ($240 new), and asked how it compared with the Maxtochs now on the market....

WOW.. Did some tests last night on the new 2X with red led, and the 2X with usual white led plus new circuit board. Very impressed. Meter tested them for lux output, then took them outside to shine...

Apparently chinapost is having a bad christmas/new year period and Maxtoch have stopped sending alot of goods until they straighten it out. Expect the HO1 and also maxtoch batts to be available...

Unsure what driver boards the C8s run now but when we last tested some they put out around 20-35k lux stock depending on model. Good for maybe 100m or so. Maxtochs are 305k (smaller M24) and 365k...

Just talking a few stats with Mcgadgetman...hundreds of new 2Xs and upgrade M24s sold through aliexpress in last 2-3 months (plus heaps of batts, chargers, packages etc) - with 90+% bought by kiwi...

We thought long and hard about how many amps current to run new 2X at, did some experiments, and finally decided at 4.5. Its not the max for an XML2-U4 but it's extreme output in the 2X and still...

Gadget and I very pleased with the latest M24 and 2X. You can use either for any job, or together (got an M24 on my rifle and 2X as handheld) they make an unbeatable...

Low mode is set for possum shooting, walking etc. It is 0.6 amps, about 13% of high mode, and produces about 40-45k lux with max range of round 400 meters.

Holy crap!!

That is alot of light on target at 800m from both lights - and 2X quite bright at that distance. Not only shows the colour of the grass etc, the rocks, but also a rock or cattlebeast...

Good to see some lower prices locally. These pana 3400s have been ridiculous - up to $35 a pair delivered here.
