If your more driven by price the new ruger American 17hmr is around $550 new so it's well priced and a great shooter. I did review I think on here if mine if you want to search it

I really only shot pests like rabbits, hares and possums.
If you want a caliber to shoot pests at ranges more than 50m or what ever you're capable of with you're 22 I recommend the hmr.
