    The other option is fill them with water and see...

    The other option is fill them with water and see where it comes out. Allow a week or so to dry them out afterwards.

    I've been using the bees wax for over 30 years...

    I've been using the bees wax for over 30 years and never had a problem. Make sure you warm the boots and get the wax to absorb into the leather.
