I'm shooting the 162 A-Max in 7Mag and it is a good bullet. Can't help with the 30. Unless your hunting off a quad a big heavy gun is going to eventually fuck you off. Same goes for an over scoped...
Buy the Rem then. Suppress it and buy the Nightforce. You asked for advice not me.
No amount of gear is going to get you reliably to 800-1000. Practice will. Spend the coin on reloading gear, make a bunch of ammo and burn out the 300 barrel or buy a 308 as well and shoot lots more....
