Not sure why you got those results Tahr as the bullets you listed there are generally quick opening bullets, maybe it's more to do with the speed as they have modest velocity in the heavier weight...
The old 6.5 x55 is a goodie in a modern rifle, better in a long action then you can load bullets out to fit magazine. There are good powders out now so you can get some good velocity with the 143 gr...
