83gr of 2217. Can easily take a few more grains without a problem I'd say.
The Blaser might not make a lightweight bush gun but it certainly makes a handy weight long ranger with my new 300 Blaser mag barrel.

That was me zeroing the scope. The two shots I fired to zero are probably better than your groups on a good day
Na my barrels not cut. I actually pay the ridiculous price to have the factory thread the barrel. The blaser isn't really lightweight or real handy so I don't see cutting a couple of inches off...

I've had this one nearly a year now.
They won't take over but they have their place.
Norma factory ammo. Norma brass with a 144gr Sierra HPBT BC is .580. Almost cheaper than buying norma 6.5x55 brass by itself.
Blaser R8 with my 6.5x55 barrel on it. Barrel arrived on Wednesday morning and was in the hills on Thursday. All load work done by the norma factory, cost $75 per 50 rounds.

Yours will be a nice setup to mate no doubt. Make sure you get a brake with yours. A light 7saum is a handful without one.
