Nah the 45 was just as good as the 50, I just happened to have both, I used the 45 more for target shooting on the move in competitions, and used the 50 for longer range and hunting, the 45 smashed...

Nice photos. I used to have two Hawkins rifles, a 50 and 45 cal, great fun for hunting, I shot probably 50-60 odd goats with my 50 cal, brilliant fun.
