great comparison.... Sleeping Bag Weight Comparison Chart | Switchback Travel
Nice bag alright. Got a drybag for my moonraker...but it is 1.7kg+ on the scales!
Nice. Decided to give the MCIII another go with neoair xtherm.
They are nice. Most bags for say -5 to -10 performance seem to be in the 1.2-15kg weights. Zpacks and Kuiu seem to be closer to 500-600grams. Only thing holding me off a quilt type is you can't sit...
Might have to rethink quilts! This looks pretty good. Katabatic Gear - Ultralight Backpacking Quilts | Backpacks | Bivys | Sawatch 15°F
Nice work!
With the DWR/water resistant outers I'd stay with down for packability... but the gap has closed a lot. I have a Kuiu kenai jacket, or did as the eldest boy has claimed it....synthetic but bloody...
Cheers Nibblet no hurry... mate is over start of November but has a narrow window to get to his in-laws to collect (and is not a fan of them so any excuse to skip a visit....) ... be keen to take you...
Yes get in there. I need to do this more.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161008/acdda644c6f76727abd9041552fef2f3.jpg

Impressive compression. Good to see 900+ lofts more common.
Yep I looked and the one I want came up with ships 1-2 days. Thinking straps and zip...have a neo xtherm that is easy to slide off. Wouldn't mind the triplex tent too...may have to be one or the...
There are me and 2 boys, so chance to get another bag... - wife bought that story so am running with it. Zpacks hard to beat, and mate going to the States in a few weeks.
Yep seems too good to be true...a water resistant shell is better...quite surprised how well the Moonraker sheds water. Mont Bell do make good gear what I have seen but don't have any personally.
Quilts are interesting! Prefer a bag though, water resistant too. Zpacks look good. I quite like the look of the Kuiu 15 Super Down Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Sleeping Bag | KUIU and if you watch the...
Yep but there are 3 of us, so chance to get a new one. Kuiu and Feathered Friends look good.
With the boys getting into hunting we need a third bag. Currently have a Kathmandhu Moonraker (v.warm, little bulky), and a Sea to Summit Micro MCIII.
The MCIII is super light, and compacts well...
