thanks for the input guys, it looks like a 64 mite be the model for me.but will wait till i have saved up some spare cash as it is more than i was wanting to spend to start with.

im considering getting a hand held gps unit, any brands models that are good or any to avoid? basic is fine as ive never used one but i do want to have topo maps on it, whats are your recomendations?...
