Yeah there is a horizontal pin and I am guessing it passes through a brrel notch (based on position as I cant see).
Pretty sure the pin has not moved at all, rifle is about year &1/2 old and its on...

This gets a step closer with every failed attempt.....

Will give that a shot - overlooked that option when I was cursing that things wernt going to plan.
