No offence taken
No denial some whack jobs make it through the system as they do in any organisation however are not a reflection on the 9500 vollies who are there for all the right reasons
Saw 387, 381 and 3811 turned out and wondered if you were on then thought about what I was doing at 4.09am - deep sleep
There was one up our way in the mid 90s when I joined. Kept us busy and I learned the trade thanks to him. They got him and he did time in Paremoremo. He fessed up on a few fires and they let some go...
Baptism by fire
Hard in small brigades to get experience with decreasing fires. Don't like to say it but a good fire shows what all the training can do when it comes to working as a crew
A K41-1 at the Port Hills fire after chopper crash.
Condolences to all down there
I was talking short to mid term. Once FENZ gets sorted. There are quite a few things been trialed.
Also staying on old analogue system as opposed to digital like police
Not likely
Some brigades have done their own setups.
you will need to buy your own smartphone to run the tablet
Either Silverdale or Manly (or both) have got them set up. Pretty sure it is on Ipad. One of the Silverdale SO travels for Chubb and pretty sure he goes your way.
A group of them are stomping around...
Mauser308 you're in Auckland?
It's called volunteering
Rewards are not in $$$
Pushing to get out for the roar this year.
We got all the electrical work for connecting a Genny 2 weeks ago but no leads supplied FFS. Our 12v backup siren is away for repair. Cellphones were down...
Not so much the rain as the wind. We lost power 9pm Saturday till 5.45am Sunday. The station was out till 5pm Sunday and all backup batteries were dead
3 on Sunday morning all chainsaw jobs
Joseph not hunting?
Ahh hear what you are saying. There is no control over accountability for restricted drugs. We do a weekly station duty and keep a record of quantity but that is all
Before administering any drug by IM or mouth you have to call the clinical desk on the 0800 number stitched on the front of the pack.
There seems to be unlimited supply of expired drugs to practice...
No can do with your mate. It has to be a 1st Responder CCE training. By re-doing 2 days a year (16hrs) you will have cover the requirements every 2 years
Can't tell you what brigade or it will...
