    I'd be pretty certain it's a Ruger 77/22 hornet...

    I'd be pretty certain it's a Ruger 77/22 hornet or 77/17 hornet bolt. A couple of small shims between the two parts of the bolt made the old man's much less frustrating (more accurate).
