There was a mag. fit issue that didn't look like being resolved. The cartridge was my preference but I couldn't spring for a semi-custom.

I've loaded up a ladder with speer btsp and will seat the elds out where they belong and single feed them at a later date.
The 7RM is replacing a 6.5PRC that I was unhappy with so is more cartridge...

Yes, that makes sense. I might buy the Hornady book so I can have a proper squizz.

The hogdon data shows max load at 61.8 which would make my start load of 60.5 near max on hornadys book.
Also velocity is 2877 on hogdon at that and 3000 on Hornady at 60.6gr.
Quite a discrepancy....

Sweet man, that's the same as the btsp pill then. All good as I'm loaded 50thou over that length.

Hi, got a 7RM tikka and have loaded up some 162eld x to mag fit at 3.34 COAL. Got a pretty mild charge of imr4831.
Still seems a bit deeper into the cartridge than id like.
What COAL are others...
