Not sure what it's called mate, it was Gav's. It's just his tripod for his spotting scope and the little module thing clips onto the tripod fitting.
Yep it's pretty slow going, the area we hunted I can usually get into within a couple of hours from the truck, but yesterday it took about five hours.

Yeah they'd have been handy. Try to avoid trekking in those conditions normally though. Ski's would have been the ultimate, we could have skied from the peak we climbed to the bush line in 20 minutes...
