58.5 gr AR2209 with 165 gr interloct. I don't like the plastic tips on my projectiles because the push holes through my shorts pockets :D. I get better penetration with soft points.
You can use data for the 280 Rem as it is virtually identical. I have done this in the past with pleasing results.
Well done Bernie & Bella. Was this why you needed the new washing machine ?
There fixed one of your grammatical errors for you.
The word is have not of
+1
Yeah Robbies an old soldier from the old school. He was taught right at WTD.
Let them drop all the 1080 they want, kill all the birds, then there is no need for the stuff and the problem will go away.
The problem is not the 1080, its the bloody birds so once they are gone...
What size boots do you wear mate? I have a pair of LeSportiva Himalayas if you want. They are good alpine boots small size 8 which is way too small for me.
Works fine for me. Good load data too
+1. No difference between them using 130-150 grain that I can notice in any of the three 308, 270, 30-06 when it comes to recoil but the 30-06 will throw them faster.
Well what are you mucking around with it then. You have something that works. Don't break it. The 6.5 was made for 120 grainers:ORLY:
Please leave some for us locals. THATS A LOT of animals killed from one area.
Glad you had a great trip as its a magical place.:)
Only $25 per hour? Wouldn't get out of bed for that:)
Saw that Nor-west. I wonder what the Muzzle velocity was like. Around 2700 fps I would think. Anyone have any idea. I was using 90gr Speer hotcores at that time:thumbsup:
Fresh beaver that is still quivering is generally the best way.
Is that a whole animal Nathan? Boned out? I was thinking of sending a whole tahr to the folks in HB.
Good choice and more than adequate. Just make sure you enjoy yourself:yaeh am not durnk:
Its the plastic bits at the front that results in such poor performance lol. I think I would much rather have complete penetration of the biggest part of the projectile. It results in much quicker...
I get 3032 av for 5 shots with 150 interlocts using 54.5 gr of IMR4064. Everything died quick. I have now gone to 165 gr interlocts an AR2209. No great difference in results on animals I just wanted...
Try a military 3point sling. Safer than on the shoulder and way more comfortable. Also much quicker to bring into action.
Better than soft points in what way, are you talking about FMJ as all sporting rounds are soft points. You have soft points with plastic tips otherwise known as crap projectiles, hollow points are...
150 gr interlocts are the bomb in 308 and 30-06. Everything dies really quickly at all angles when you push it at 2700 to 3000 fps out to 400 metres
[QUOTE=Toby;169524]Should suggest they make an app for the phone where you can have an electronic pemit[/
Sorry Toby but I keep tripping over the cord on the phone and it isn't that long:pacman:
