Yea I was of course going to clearance all but the thrust face of the recoil lug and the outside vertical faces of the action but was in two minds what to do around the key like bit of the action...

Is there anywhere other than the recoil lug you tape clearances stug?

Finally got my shit together and started this tonight.

Drilled out holes for pillars kindly supplyed by shift14 and hogged out the cracks .

Yep....3 seperate stocks I have looked at had it to varieing degrees.

Its always been in the back of my mind I should fix it but shooting has taken the back seat of late.
Bit of interest again...

Yep was thinking pillar bed with a bloody big one in the front devconed in then machine out relief around recoil lug etc then bed the action in.

Its got the crack threw the recoil lug and king screw hole they seem to often have.
Its been like it since I bought it but decided it is time to fix it.
