Okay, I was thinking Kiwi mouth...further to the river but then shorter to Manson (about 1.3 km longer overall), and on the map looks a better gradient for my old knees!
Another plus for Rocks...
So on a related but different topic...if you were going from Back Ridge biv to Manson hut, which way would you go?
Rocks Ahead or Kiwi Mouth?
It would just be passing thru, probably staying one...

That would work for the swingbridges as long as the mesh is small enough her feet don't go thru it.
The cableway might be best to take gear across, then come back to get the dog.
