OK here's a mock up. The webbing I had isn't long enough. But it shows the principle and also that it can be done with minimal hardware (I hate hardware - usually just a rattling failure point)...

I have a couple of rifles with suppressors that I'd like to try a new (to me) approach for the sling - I want to add a soft loop that rides on the barrel between the fore-end and the suppressor.
