The 1909 Argentinian is a standard length, the 1909 Peruvian is an intermediate, both are 7.65x53. The Peruvian has a high bolt release that holds the charger clip.

A little more research reveals that this was probably a Model C, the stock is the key clue, it's got a steel buttplate, rounded pistol grip and a few other subtle hints.

Yes bottom metal is the correct mauser sporter type with floorplate lever and is numbered to the action. Stock is still to be identified, will know more once I take the action out of it!
Yes the action will be a "small shank" so .980 which considerably widens the field of potential barrel candidates!
