Get very fit, get a good set of binos & a spotting scope (Swaro, Leica etc) this will save you walking some torrid country for naught. Buy a strong light tent (Hubba Hubba HP etc). Layered clothing...

I use a Loupy too mate, but on my old A-Bolt! A Swaro on top of your rifle would look mighty fine.
Greg, at first I hit the like button but then I saw that scope...... man you need to get some special glass on top of that special rifle :)
I'm not a LR shooter but I reckon if it's windy get closer.... it affects the the bullet and can help in sneaking in closer :)
I've used it without the footprint 3 times in Fiordland and had no issues but I was concerned with weight as we were carrying everything on our backs for 10 days. Where are you staying in Oz R93?

I have a Hubba Hubba HP R93. It's pretty light. Carried it around Fiordland for 10 days chasing Waps and I rate it.
