cool video...interesting the only one you needed more than one shot for...or threw more than one at you missed.....kind of defeats the arguement as to the AR15 being neccesary...

That one was particularly stupid. Most would bolt on the first shot if you missed. The AR was useful under the light when you could whack 3 or 4 quickly.
The style of hunting we mostly do won’t see a reduction in tally because we have to move to bolt actions.
Still a kick in the guts to lose the AR, I’d much rather it was my choice to get rid of...

I hear you loud n clear.....my bolt action .223 has taken a few hundy of them there hoppers including a few in the magic mcpara moonbeam. funny when even I took shotgun the wobblies would be sitting still,take the rifle and they on the run....you get good at running shots after a while.... we used to do a lot of dogging the scrub...now days we sit n snipe ,much less effort for similar or better tallys.
the 50 grn zmax pills seem to work very well from what Ive seen so far.....mind you though nothing beats the poohseventy!!!

I think reaching that conclusion from a sample of 10 out of the 265 would give you a seat on the next select comittee
Iv used both Ar and bolt and I have a preference for the AR. The follow up shot advantage is a small part of it though its great when using shooting sticks or similar, being able to stack 40 rounds into a couple of neat little plastic mags at you leisure is way better than constantly thumbing rounds in when there are targets in front of you,even more so when its dark. Brass catcher is good at times, as is the ability to mount to a torch on the hand guard. . An AR is not really needed but need isn't an argument really, most all hunting is sport/recreation so there is no need in any of it and falling into the "dont need" trap could well be a very slippery slope. Over all though I find its just a better rifle for the job . I dont really like the rifle aside from the function aspect, I prefer a nice piece of walnut and like some others its the poor process that pisses me off far more than loosing the AR.
