    150grain SMK for 6.5 in 1/8 twist barrel

    Has anyone here had a play with the 6.5mm Sierra Matchking 150gn?

    Got so caught up with the eldms i totally missed this one.
    Looks marginally better on paper. Some of the US shooters seem to be getting it to group if they can push it fast.

    Got some 155smk that they don’t make anymore, seem to shoot well in the 264 win mag.

    That was lightning courier work BW! Got em inhand. First thing i noticed is that they are loooong. Also that the bearing surface is much shorter than the eldm

    I’ve got about 400 of the 155SMK if someone wants them, I couldn’t get them going fast enough in my gas gun.

    I'll load these up tonight and will put a few into the hillside tomorrow. If they go really well it could be interesting to see if the 155s can stabilize. But i can see on AB that there is a crossover point (cost vs gains). Between 47gns and 50 there is a single click at 1000m gain. But that might just be because the custom drag curve isnt available for the SMK yet.
