    178gr ELD-X

About to do a seating depth test on these suckers. I've tried 0.015" off the rifling and 0.050". Neither shot worth a damn so I will try 0.085" next.

Same brass, powder, and primers are producing really good groups with Noselr BT's and the velocities are really consistent with both bullets.

    T3 in 300WSM. Factory 24" 1:11 barrel. Braked.

Anyone else using these bullets found a particular depth they liked?

If you’re getting good E.S I’d try smaller increments like 3 thou, start at magazine length and work your way back in

Tried just seating to mag length? Not heard of a tikka 300wsm not liking that bullet.

I have found that A-Max, ELD-M and ELD-X like 20-30 thou jump in my rifles. That’s based on loading for .25-06, .30.06. 7RM, .300WM, .284 Win. All but one liked 20 thou and then a bit of tinkering with powder charges to tighten groups.

Yeah I can't do that. I only have one box and they're patterning like a shotgun currently.

I've got loads of mag length to play with. Could just go with the default 2.860" and see how they go.

20 thou in my 06, but I find charge at impacts group size significantly in my rifle.

@superdiver, at 2.860" they're shooting much better (unless the 3rd group is a fluke). That's 0.114" of jump.

All my mates seat them at mag length. Using re17 or 2209
